The Couch Cup Holder.com by Steadi Labs

Finally, somewhere to put your drink.

A wide, low base that holds your cup, can, or tumbler steady right on the couch cushion — no side table, no balancing act, no getting up.

A sage drink holder cradling a tumbler on a couch cushion at dusk, TV glow behind.
On the cushion. Not the arm, not the table, not the floor.

Does it actually work

It wobbles.
Then it settles.

Push it. Sit down next to it. Let the dog jump up. The base sits low and wide, spreads the weight across the cushion, and the drink comes back level.

Filmed on a regular couch cushion — it's the same demo we do in person at shows.

The demo: a full tumbler steady in the holder on a couch cushion as someone sits down beside it.

The situation

You've been solving this all along.

The coffee table you have to lean for. The arm of the couch, if you don't move. The floor, where the dog is. Wedged between two cushions, at an angle you're choosing to trust.

Four feet away

None of it is a disaster. It's just something you've been managing, every single night, without noticing.

What you get

Three reasons it stays out.

01

Stays where you put it

The wide, low base spreads across the cushion instead of balancing on it. Sit down, shift, get up — it holds steady.

The wide, low base spread flat across a soft couch cushion, the cushion compressing around it.
02

Fits what you already drink

Tumblers, cans, bottles, kids' cups. Cans and bottles slide on. Cups and tumblers drop in from the top, through the fins.

A tumbler, can, water bottle, and cup, each in a colored holder, in a row on a couch.
03

Looks like it belongs in the room

Eight colors, matte finish, made to sit out — not to be hidden when people come over.

How it works

Three parts,
no moving parts.

The base spreads out.

Soft cushions swallow narrow objects. The wide, low base sits across the surface instead of sinking into one spot.

The fins grip.

Flexible fins hold the container from the sides, so it doesn't rattle around or slip through.

It settles.

Push it off level and it comes back — the flex absorbs the movement instead of transferring it to your drink.

Nothing attaches to your furniture. No clips, no straps, no adhesive. It sits on top and picks up whenever you want.

Will it fit my cup

Measure the bottom,
not the top.

Fits 2 — 3 in base

If the base of your drink measures 2 to 3 inches across, it settles in fully. The fins flex to take up to 3.15 inches — snug, and it seats with a push. That's most tumblers, standard and slim cans, bottles, and kids' cups.

The quick test: a sticky note is exactly 3 inches — about the base of a 40 oz Stanley, the largest cup most people use. If the bottom of your cup sits inside a sticky note, you're good.

  • Stanley 40 oz ~3 in ✓
  • Yeti Rambler 30 oz
  • Standard 12 oz can
  • Slim can
  • Water bottle
  • Stemless wine glass

Measurements are the container base. There's a floor as well as a ceiling — under 2 inches (53 mm) it sits too loose, and over 3.15 inches it won't seat.

Already using a koozie? Take it off — the holder grips the can directly and holds it steady, which a koozie doesn't do. A koozie inside is usually too wide.

Why more than one

Two identical tumblers.
One question.

Everybody on the couch has the same 40-ounce tumbler now. "Which one's mine?" gets solved the moment they're different colors.

That's actually how it started at our house — my wife and I have the same Stanley. Mine's the Charcoal one.

From other living rooms

From people who use it on the couch.

It shows up in a lot of places — boats, trucks, camp chairs. These are the reviews from living rooms.

I really love these! I can leave my drinks on the couch cushion next to me and not worry about them spilling. I like to sit in the corner seat of my sectional, so there’s no table on either side of me. These are the perfect solution without having to get up every time I want to take a sip.

Works great! None of our cats have knocked any drink over yet.

Steve Butler · August 8, 2026 · Verified buyer

Genius! Finally I can sit in a corner of the couch and have my drink next to me. Works beautifully, sturdy and stable. I'm very happy I found this item.

Works great!
If it saves you from cleaning your sofa or rug
or washing anything it is worth it.
Give it a try!

The Steadi is everything you claimed. I place a tray on the couch cushion next to me with the Steadi, while watching TV. It’s so stable that it doesn’t budge when I get up and sit down. Is the Steadi dishwasher and/or microwave safe.

This is a great product. Does exactly as it is advertised. No more turned over water containers due to my nosey cats. My granddaughter can reach it but she can't tip it over. 😁😁

Who makes it

Made start to finish in Orange, California.

We make one thing, and we make all of it here — the molds, the material, the color runs, everything within about three and a half miles of the shop.

Veteran-founded. Patent pending. Small enough that the emails get answered by the person who made the thing.

The guarantee

Ninety days on your own couch.

Use it every night for a month. If it doesn't do exactly what we said, email us and we'll make it right — you don't need to fight for it, and you don't need to explain yourself.

Before you buy

Questions people actually ask.

Will it really stay upright on a soft cushion?

That's the whole reason it's shaped this way. A narrow base sinks into a cushion and tips — a wide, low one spreads across it. Push it and it comes back level. The video near the top of this page is the same demo we do in person at shows, filmed on a regular couch cushion.

Will my tumbler fit?

Measure the bottom of your cup, not the top. Anything with a base of 2 to 3 inches across fits — and a sticky note is exactly 3 inches, about the base of a 40 oz Stanley, which is as large as you'd want to use. So yes, your Stanley fits; so do Yeti Ramblers, standard and slim cans, bottles, and most kids' cups. The one common cup that doesn't work is a classic handled mug — the handle lands right where the fins need to grip. If the base sits inside a sticky note and there's no handle in the way, you're set.

What if someone sits down right next to it?

The cushion dips and the Steadi rocks with it — nothing holds it down, so it's free to tip and right itself. That's the wobble-then-settle: it moves, then it comes back. A caddy bolted or clipped in place can't do that — when the cushion moves, it has nowhere to go but over.

Is it bulky? Will it look bad in my living room?

It's about the footprint of a coaster and a couple of inches tall, in matte colors chosen to sit out. Nobody hides these in a drawer — that's the point of the eight colors.

Does it attach to my couch?

No. Nothing clips, sticks, straps, or screws to your furniture. It sits on top and picks up and moves whenever you want.

Will it fit over a koozie?

Take the koozie off and put the can straight in — it grips the can directly and holds it steady, which a koozie doesn't do. A koozie inside is usually too wide.

How do I clean it?

Rinse it under the tap, or wipe it with a damp cloth — it's one solid piece of flexible material with nothing to come apart. We'd skip the dishwasher and the microwave: machine heat is the one thing we don't recommend. A hot drink in its own cup is normal use.

Why haven't I seen this before?

Because it's new. Steadi Labs is a small independent company in Orange, California, and this is our first product — it's patent pending, so nobody else is making it. Most people meet it at a boat show or a market, or through a friend who has one.

Why does checkout happen on steadilabs.com?

Steadi Labs is the company that makes it — this site is about one thing, the couch, but the product itself is called Steadi and it's made in Orange, California. Every order goes through the same checkout, the same shop, and the same 90-day guarantee. Your cart carries over exactly as you built it.

How fast does it ship, and what if I don't like it?

Orders leave Orange, California within one business day, free, on every order, and USPS typically has it to you in 2 to 5 days. If it's not right for you, email us within 90 days and we'll take care of it. It's Scott who reads those — I'd rather fix it than have you keep something you don't use.

Stop getting up.

A week from now it's just how your couch works — the show keeps going, every drink is right where a hand lands, and the only one getting up is the dog.
